Jaxson Dart, the quarterback for the New York Giants, is confirmed to be out for the regular season by head coach John Harbaugh. With a torn MCL and meniscus, he is expected to undergo surgery which will effectively end his 2026 season. Although reports state that Dart’s ACL remains intact, he has been seeking multiple opinions regarding the injury, as he was keen on returning to action after the initial injury.
Dart’s team ultimately did not allow him to return to the game on Monday night after he sustained the injury, reportedly going as far as taking away his uniform to prevent him from re-entering. His surgery is set to address the torn meniscus and MCL; however, damage to the PCL will not be treated surgically, leading to a recovery timeline of about six months if all goes well.
