Kirk Cousins About To Hit Top 20 In Passing Yards Leaders

Kirk Cousins of the Atlanta Falcons is about to hit another milestone in his career. The much-maligned veteran has compiled 40,844 yards passing in the air during his career. That is 156 passing yards away from reaching the 41,000 mark and just 79 from passing Kerry Collins for No. 20 on the Super Bowl Era list of most passing yards.

This season, Cousins is ranked 5th on the list of leaders in passing yards with 1,373. Cousins rides in off a big 36-30 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Cousins tallied a Falcon-record 509 yards passing in that one.

This upcoming Sunday, the Cousins will try to move up the list as his Falcons go on the road to battle the Carolina Panthers who are last in the NFC South. The Falcons are 3-2 and are 1st in the NFC South. They enter having been victorious in their last two.
