Finally on a good team, it’s time for Matt Stafford to prove he’s an elite QB. The former Lions star has moved on to the Rams where huge things are expected. But in Detroit, was he the problem or the team? We’ll find out in arguably the toughest division in the league.
NFC West
Rams: 12-5
49ers: 11-6
Seahawks: 9-8
Cardinals: 9-8
Rams: Stafford will likely put up MVP numbers, but can he lead the Rams to the Super Bowl? That’s the goal here. He’s better than Goff and McVay is going to go back to the old Rams which used to put up big numbers. Stafford, tough, will have to find the mark for this team to succeed.
49ers: Jimmy G was so close 18 months ago, and with Trey Lance around the corner, his days are numbered in SF. Will that be a spark?
Seahawks: Russ will find a way as usual, but offensively the team is a notch below.
Cardinals: A solid team but in a very difficult division, someone has to finish last.
