Matthew Stafford Seeking 400th Career Touchdown Pass This Weekend

Matthew Stafford is on the verge of another milestone in what has already been a decorated NFL career. The Los Angeles Rams quarterback enters Week 10 with 398 career touchdown passes, putting him just two shy of the 400 mark — a benchmark reached by only eight quarterbacks in the Super Bowl era.

Stafford currently ranks ninth all-time in touchdown passes, trailing a Hall of Fame-heavy leaderboard led by Tom Brady (649), Drew Brees (571), and Peyton Manning (539). With his next two scoring throws, he’ll join an exclusive group that includes legends such as Dan Marino, Brett Favre, and Aaron Rodgers.

This season, Stafford has been in top form. He leads the NFL with 21 touchdown passes, piloting a Rams offense that has regained its rhythm. In his most recent outing, Stafford threw four touchdowns in a commanding 34–10 win over the New Orleans Saints, extending Los Angeles’ winning streak to three games.

The 6–2 Rams sit atop the NFC West standings heading into Sunday’s divisional showdown against the San Francisco 49ers, who currently hold third place. With the playoffs in sight and momentum building, Stafford has the chance to hit the 400-touchdown milestone on one of the league’s biggest stages — against a familiar rival.
