2023 NFL Draft Stats – Quarterbacks

Ohio States CJ Stroud.Ahead of this week’s draft, the NFL has put out a bunch of stats on the event. Here’s what they have relating to quarterbacks, which will again be front and center the first few hours on Thursday night.

Among the quarterbacks available in the 2023 NFL Draft, at least four are expected to be chosen in the first round – Alabama’s Bryce Young, Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud, Florida’s Anthony Richardson and Kentucky’s Will Levis.

Since 1967, a quarterback has been selected with the No. 1 overall pick on 26 occasions, the most among all positions, including four of the past five drafts: 2021 (Trevor Lawrence), 2020 (Joe Burrow), 2019 (Kyler Murray) and 2018 (Baker Mayfield).

• surpass RB Trent Richardson (No. 3 in 2012) and T Chris Samuels (No. 3 in 2000) as the highest drafted offensive player from Alabama since 1967.
• become the 10th quarterback to win the Heisman Trophy and be selected No. 1 overall in the NFL Draft since 1967
