Derrick Henry bulldozed his way to a sixth career 200 yard rushing games yesterday to help lead the Tennessee Titans to a big win over the Houston Texans 17-10.
Henry’s 219 yard effort was the sixth time in his career that he has ran for over 200 yards during a regular season game. That ties him with two other greats — Adrian Peterson and O.J. Simpson — for the most 200 yard rushing games in the Super Bowl Era.
“Credit to those guys up front, and all the guys blocking – o-line, receivers, tight ends, fullback,” Henry told the Titans’ website. “Just making the sacrifice to go out there and block and allow us to have success. I give all the credit to them, and I just have to go out there and do my job … and we were able to win as a team.”
It’s also the fourth time that he’s run for 200+ yards against the Texans (the other two came against the Jaguars)! This is the fifth straight season in which he’s had a 200 yard rushing game.
And since he’s just 28, it’s seems only a matter of time before Henry has the record all to his own.
