Longest NFL Field Goals – Slye Just Short

Carolina Panther’s kicker Joey Slye came up just short of setting an all-time record for longest field goal in NFL history.

With the kick the 24-year-old was also trying to tie the Saints at 27 with just under two minutes to play.

But look how short it came up:

Joey Slye *barely* missed what would have been a record setting 65-yard field goal pic.twitter.com/5R0vmYaNz1

Slye would have sat atop this prestigious record list:

63 Jason Elam (DEN) 1998

63 David Akers (SF) 2012
63 Graham Gano (CAR) 2018
