Josh Jacobs’ had a career day Sunday in leading his Las Vegas Raiders to a thrilling overtime 40-34 win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Jacobs clinched the win with an 86-yard TD run for the win. The former Alabama star finished with 229 yards rushing setting the Super Era mark for most rushing yards in a game by a Raider.
And with his 74 receiving yards, Jacobs, according to the NFL, is the sixth player in NFL history to record over 300 total scrimmage yards in a game. Jacobs’ 303 total scrimmage yards is the most since Adrian Peterson’s 315 in 2007.
“I’m running out of superlatives,” Head Coach Josh McDaniels said of Jacobs. “Over 300 total yards in a game… He’s a football player. That’s probably the greatest compliment I could give him. He comes up big. He had a couple big first downs on third-and-short, I’m not sure everybody in the league gets those, but he did. And then, of course, makes the big play at the end.
