Jared Goff Could Hit 38,000 Career Passing Yards Today vs Packers

As Week 13 arrives, Jared Goff is closing in on another milestone in his NFL career. The Detroit Lions quarterback has accumulated 37,823 passing yards, leaving him just 177 yards shy of the 38,000 mark. Goff currently ranks 27th all-time in passing yards in the Super Bowl Era, with only one passer ahead of him immediately on the leaderboard — Boomer Esiason, who sits at 37,920 yards. By reaching 38,000 and surpassing Esiason, Goff would climb into 26th place all-time, continuing his steady ascent up the NFL record books.

This season, Goff has remained among the league’s most productive passers, ranking 7th in the NFL with 2,769 passing yards. He enters Week 13 following a strong performance in the Lions’ 34–27 victory over the New York Giants, where he threw for 279 yards and helped Detroit secure its seventh win of the year.

Goff will have the chance to hit the milestone in front of a national audience on Thanksgiving Day, when the 7–4 Lions host the Green Bay Packers, who sit second in the NFC North. Detroit, currently third in the division, will look to gain ground in the standings while Goff attempts to add another chapter to his résumé.
