Incredibly, 17 of the past 19 years a team has gone from worst to final in the NFL.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, of the 50 teams in league history to go from \u201cworst-to-first,\u201d 27 of them have done so in the past 19 years (2003-21), including an NFL-record three such teams in 2005 and 2006.<\/p>\n<p>Two teams during that span, the 2009 New Orleans Saints and the 2017 Philadelphia Eagles, won the Super Bowl after finishing in last place in their division the season before.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, the Cincinnati Bengals advanced to Super Bowl LVI after finishing in last place in the AFC North in 2020.
